Ein deutsches Requiem

The end of the lent term sees the annual performance of a requiem setting by The King’s School, Canterbury Chorus and Symphony Orchestra. This year it was Ein deutsches Requiem by Brahms. Staged in the glorious surroundings of Canterbury Cathedral’s nave BH Broadcast once again provided a 4 camera recoding of this event to be hosted on the King’s music departments impressively popular Youtube channel.

Captured in 4k and edited to HD, this allowed gentle, broadcast style camera movements to accompany the 16 channel multi-tracked recording. All of this delivered by a single operator making this a highly cost-efficient production.

vMix Training for KPMG

It all begins with an idea.

2023 kicked off with BH Broadcast teaming up with Streeem to deliver two vMix training courses for the internal events team at KPMG. Delivered over six days, this course was designed to help the team transition from producing events on Stream Yard to the highly flexible vMix.

The KMPG staff all came with different levels of experience and events backgrounds and it was great to see how they supported each other as the course progressed.

The greatest challenge was the shift in mindset, moving from “this is how it is done in Stream Yard” to “this is one of the ways you can achieve this in vMix”! One of the Managers of the Event and hospitality team summarised;

We all thoroughly enjoyed the training and it has really opened our eyes into what it takes to run a vMix event – yes there is a lot of work involved but at least we now have the knowledge to move forward. 😊
